Firefly Season 1 Review: Serenity. This show is one of my all time favorites for so many reasons. The situations the crew get placed in aren't too novel for the most part, as many are spin-offs of old-school western motifs, but the combining of futuristic technology with rustic badassery makes it seem new and novel. What really makes the show though, is the writing and the characters.
